The review is finally here! You might have seen on my Insta-stories that over the past couple of weeks I have been thoroughly trialling The Body Shop's range of superfood face masks that launched late last year.

With a mask for pretty much every skin concern, you're sure to find one that will suit you. You can even try the new multi-masking trend to get the most out of your skin and these masks. Of course, having tried them all, there are ones that I prefer and suit my skin type better, so I thought I'd give you a little breakdown of each.

Chinese Ginseng & Rice Clarifying Polishing Mask

Exfoliation plays a key part in my skin care routine, so I particularly enjoyed this mask. It has a creamy texture which gently exfoliates the skin as you remove it using a warm flannel. It leaves the skin feeling considerably smoother and refreshed, it's definitely one to add into your weekly routine. If you have extra sensitive skin I would be gentle as you wash this one away as you don't want it to be too abrasive to the skin.

Amazonian Acai Energising Radiance Mask [ENERGISE ME]

On first impression, this mask smells AMAZING. If you close your eyes it smells like a jam or something delicious - I don't recommend you try eating it though. The Acai berry extract and vitamin C makes the skin look awake and more radiant. This is great for a quick pick me up on a Sunday morning prior to makeup. I have to say, it looks a little scary when applied because it's a red colour with textured bits, so you look like you've got something crazy happening - but don't worry, it washes off nicely with a flannel after 10 minutes.

One of my favourites from the collection is the deep nourishing mask which feels so smooth and natural on the skin. Honey has a lot of antioxidant and antibacterial properties so it works well on my blemish prone skin, hydrating and soothing without making breakouts worse. I'll be using this mask a couple of times a week to keep my skin soft and restore it's elasticity (hurray for anti-aging).

British Rose Fresh Plumping Mask [HYDRATE ME]

Another winner is this fresh plumping mask which leaves the skin looking healthy, hydrated and plumped. What more can you ask for? I like applying this mask onto freshly cleansed skin, particularly on days when my skin is feeling dehydrated after a long day in the office. It's a no nonsense mask that will leave you feeling moisturised and glowy.

Himalayan Charcoal Purifying Glow Mask [DETOXIFY ME]

The charcoal mask was unfortunately my least favourite from the collection. I think this is simply because it was not suited to my skin type. Over the past few months my skin has got increasingly drier and it left my skin feeling very drawn out and was a little too overpowering. However if you have very oily skin I do think it would work for you, as my skin did feel very purified after leaving it on for 5 minutes - so don't be afraid to give it a try!

The Honey Deep Nourishing Mask and the Rose Fresh Plumping Mask are now a part of my weekly routine - these two will work great no matter what skin type you have.
